THIS IS OUR 12th CHRISTMAS TOGETHER AND AS WE GET OLDER THE GIFTS BEGIN TO TAKE A WHOLE NEW MEANING " WE DON'T NEED ANYTHING SO WHAT SHALL WE DO" THIS YEAR WE ARE GOING TO ACAPLCO AND THAT IS OUR GIFT TO OURSELVES. IT IS ALWAYS FUN TO MAKE A BRAKE FOR SUNNY BEACHES, READING BOOKS AND DOING NOTHING!

THE NUTCRACKER 2008

IT WAS OUR ANNUAL DINNER BEFORE SEEING THE NUTCRACKER. WE WENT TO THE BLUE IGUANA FOR A FUN MEXICAN DINNER.

MARGOT AND I GOT TO SPEND A LOT OF TIME JUST PLAYING AROUND THE HOUSE. AS MUCH AS I DON'T LIKE SHETLON PONIES IN THE HOUSE, I COULDN'T STAND LEAVING SYDNEY THE DOG OUTSIDE. SHE LOVES TO KISS MARGOT AND IS HUGELY LOVING.

WELL, MATT AND CHALENE GRADUATED! MARGOT AND I WERE SO PROUD OF THE BOTH OF THEM. I AM SO GLAD THAT I WAS ABLE TO BE THERE AND SHARE WITH THEM IN THE GREAT MOMENT IN THEIR LIVES!

The Christmas Bomb has hit

Yes the Christmas Bomb(as Matt puts it) has hit. We have our annual party coming up and I have already spent 3 days trying to lay out some decorations. I only put up 3 Christmas Trees this year and I have cut back on the decorations because we have a pool table downstairs and there isn't enough room for everything. Come and see us. We love to entertain!

Swimming with the sharks

Floyd absolutely loved the shark pool with the large stingrays and baby sharks right at his fingertips. He splashed enough of the water on the front of him to drench his shirt and make the stingrays swim up to his tiny fingers to see just who was having all that fun in their pool. Needless to say, if I hadn't held on to him tightly he would of gone swimming with them. Gracie asked the guard if she could get in and swim with the sharks. She thought they looked so cute.

Four makes a family

Yes, Chalene,Matt and Margot are going to add to their family next summer. Everyone is hoping that this next baby will be a mild mannered and sweet as our little Margot. She is such a sweet happy little baby. Grammy B loves her and can't get enough of her.

Paul J had so much fun with all the grandkids. Between the trains flying everywhere except on the train table and the pool games, it was a busy day in the basement!

grad school and baby's. Rob and Krissy weren't able to be there for pictures, but Rob made it home from the hospital just in time to sit down and enjoy and delicious turkey dinner and orange rolls

Yes, Thanksgiving was just that for me. I had all my children with me and all my Grandchildren were loving being with me also. We have a new pool table, and we bought a large train table with the whole train set. I had new movies, games, activities and lots of good food to keep them all entertained. I loved it!

Charles and Virginia Zollinger

Charles Walters Zollinger passed away Friday evening November 7,2008. Charles was such a dear man to me. He always loved me, treated me with respect and was one of the kindest,sweetest, thoughtful and loving man I ever had the privilege of knowing. He told me once that he was so proud of me and that I was the daughter that he and Virginia never had. I couldn't have asked for nicer compliment from my former in-laws.He missed Virginia so when she died over 20 years ago and Now they are together again at long last. He will be greatly missed as a Father, a Grandfather and as a Man.

I was able t share a room with one of my best friends from High School when we attended our 40th, can you believe it 40th HS Reunion. I was a blast. There were friends from first grade on up to my senior year there. They were all amazed with the details and ALL the names I could remember. I was able to name 90% of my classmates in my first grade. We laughed, talked about old times and got up on grandchildren and our pending not already retirement plans.

I was able to stop by and visit the boss at work. He was very official and always on the phone. He gave me a tour of the yard and it is great to see how my big brother is the big man on the job. So many people answer to him, as I use to do!

Today is Margot Z's Day. She is my fourth grandchild and my second granddaughter. Regretfully she doesn't live close to me so I live vicariously through darling pictures that my son emails to me. I couldn't wait to share them on my blog!

Birthday lunch

Well, Margot, Chalene,Matt,Lauren and Floyd went out to lunch with Paul and I for my birthday. It was just a brief visit. I kissed Margot and hugged her but I don't get to do that very much. She has grown so much and I don't get to hold her enough.

Paul surprised me for my birthday.

He told me to pack a bag for over night. bright fancy clothes and be ready at 2pm. He came in with 2 dozen red roses and said here we go.

We drove to Logan,Utah, 2 hours from home. We checked in the hotel, went out to dinner to a Luau and then watched a USO Show that was staged in Hawaii and it was all the old songs that my parents danced to. There was a full orchestra and we danced the night away. What a creative, romantic and fun way to celebrate another birthday!

Matt and Margot at her first big dinner party. I am in hopes that I will get to see them this week as it is my Birthday. These birthdays are coming far too quickly and they are getting bigger in numbers so I just want them to visit and forget the that day. Margot has grown so much since I saw her last month that I can't wait to see her again. Oh and of course her parents. Parents should know that when babies arrive parents take the backstage. Everything is about Margot now!

and Vaughn. Heidi came along with her two boys and they are all on their way up to Rexburg to visit Anne and Keith (Joe's Parents). Joe's niece Elizabeth got married today and we all went to the wedding reception downtown SLC. 

Lissa got her first Job! She was hired by a big Law Firm in Springfield, Ore.

She is so excited to be able to finally get a job in what she has been striving for for so long. Steve Eberlein, her boyfriend, also has a great new job with the law firm in Portland. Between the two of them they are on their way. WE ARE SO PROUD!

The mountain hike

Barb and Glen took us on a hike in the mountains of Pagosa. We walked along the river for a few miles and took in the views of the flowers, large cliffs and the fresh air!

beginning of a rather large mountain that

we climbed in our jeep before we came out onto the

mountain clearing where flowers were abundant

and we saw a large moose with a full rack.

We rode every bumpy road that

Paul could find. He was loving

four-wheeling in his jeep.

We rented a Rubicon Jeep in Lake City, Colorado and drove up steep mountain trails only fit for horses, jeeps and hikers who dared to walk over rivers, boulders, trees and not to mention inhabitants of the forest to see the Great Rocky Mountains and their beautiful flowers, rivers and valleys.
